#2: Ice cave

Around 3pm we skied down to the cave, removed our skis and slithered into the small entrance, headlamps glowing. The cave is essentially a large bridged crevasse filled with stunning features - melt runnels, crawl spaces, stepped descents, meringue-shaped ceilings and total blackness. Ninety minutes later we emerged from the icy catacomb to a sunny afternoon. The views all around are spectacular.
