After an uneventful ride in the belt wagon to the frozen waterfall Eskerfossen we got straight onto skis and headed east along the Sassen valley under a clear and cold sky.
We’re now safely camped on the valley floor with the temperature at -28C and dropping (and reached -36.3). Stoves are purring in the tents and I hope everyone sleeps warmly. We will wake to frost all over the inside of the tents which needs sweeping off before lighting the stove. A chilly job first thing. Tenting with Ed tonight.
