After a cloudy and grey morning skiing up Sassendalen, we finally caught a glimpse of the sun, hiding tantalisingly behind a wall of cloud but refusing to make an appearance.
The wind picked up at midday, making for a blustery lunch (Hugo somehow makes this seem not nearly as unpleasant in the photo, he might as well be on a beach somewhere!)
As if in recompense for the earlier deprival of sun, the sky cleared above us allowing views of lenticular clouds floating off the adjacent mountains, and an array of pink and purple tinged skies behind.
Windspeed continued to increase as we rounded the corner into Fulmardalen. Fresh snow joined the party shortly after, which meant setting up tents in a blizzard!
Wind and snow forecast for tomorrow morning, we’ll see what we get!
