After a big day of prep, our first Svalbard expedition team is ready to go! We spent the day in the warehouse here in Longyearbyen practicing lighting stoves and setting up tents, packing food, organising our sleds, and talking about polar bear safety.
We have a small and fairly experienced team, seven of us in total.
The conditions are unseasonably warm here on Svalbard, but we’re hoping to find some colder temperatures out there. With the amount of smiles and laughs we had in the warehouse today, it would seem we are in for a great expedition regardless!
