We had an uneventful 90 minute ski from camp to our pick up point, and enjoyed some chitchat as we skied along - 3 girls and 3 boys. We look forward to catching up with Sacha tonight.
It reached -25.6 Celsius overnight, but by now we hardly notice the cold. Maybe it’s because we knew we were skiing to a warm bus!
We commonly have temperatures in the minus teens towards the end of March, a more tolerable introduction for our novice trip. But it wasn’t to be and our participants experienced some truly cold conditions of which they coped admirably. They are certainly ready for their next polar expedition. Thanks team for sharing the ice with us, our last Svalbard trip of the season. Happy adventures!
