#3: day 3

Pretty windy overnight but unremarkable compared to our cold start. The warmer temperatures make everything easier though to a point, too warm and it’s equally difficult. We skied east along Sassen valley to the Rabot glacier terminal moraine and were treated to a beautiful exposed ice face revealing swirls of coloured ice and mud. The afternoon brought clearer conditions and the scenes of mountains, valleys and glacier were drop dead gorgeous. We’re camped at the foot of the glacier and have a big climb ahead. Tomorrow’s weather forecast is for -22 and increasing wind. That’s doable.
